hey sonic free riders updates here!

The official website for Kinect exclusive title Sonic Free Riders, has been launched as of yesterday evening. We’re also happy to announce the official release dates for the game.

In America this will be November 4th, Europe will get Kinect just under a week later on November 10th.

Its a bit low on details at the moment, but it has a rather nifty feature you can use if you happen to have a webcam. Plug it in and you can navigate the entire site using it – it’s like a mini-Kinect!

As I’m sure all of you and your dog know, the most anticipated Sonic game this side of 1999 got dated the other day. I know we’ve not mentioned it ourselves on the blog yet but that’s mainly because we rather thought it’d be nice to confirm what date the people outside of America would be able to get the game as well before we did. As such a statement went out from SOA and SOE yesterday evening.
Now before people ask us the various platform owners do not have unified update days for their stores so this is not us showing “favouritism” to any specific program format- its just the way it is. Also the release time between Euro and American services are different and something we can’t control – so yes the American fans will get the game first in some instances. Hey I’ll have to wait as well, so I feel your pain.

Before we get onto the details though yesterday evening ON THE SPOOOOOOTTTTT the third zone trailer went live this one showcasing Mad Gear Zone, this has now gone up on the SEGA Europe YouTube channel. Shellcrackers FTW! Or is that ‘for the very painful ring loss and death’? I guess that’s up to you!
